Steps for Participating in the Tradeshows in Japan
Here is a list of things to do when applying for the exhibition in Japan. Please contact the tradeshow organizer directly for detailed information in advance.
- Look for the right tradeshow for your products and choose it

- Apply and reserve the exhibition booth
- Confirm the booth
- Decide who will attend the tradeshow and for how long
- Pay the booth fee and reserve the hotel accommodations.
- Choose a shipping company. Normally there are official shipping companies designated by the tradeshow organizer, so contact the designated company or a company that can cooperate with the designated company.
- Choose a booth set-up company and place an order.

- Decide and prepare for the marketing including production of business cards, product catalogue, press kits, Japanese web site, direct mails, hiring of interpreters and booth attendants etc.

- Decide all the products and items to be exhibited
- Insure the cargo
- Transfer the products and other items to the shipping company
- Exhibitors visit the booth. Check the cargo and booth set-up etc.
- Complete the set-up and decoration of the exhibited products, items etc.
- Actual tradeshow period
- Take out the exhibited products and other items from the booth (sell or send them back to the US/donate or dump)
- Follow-up of the companies you talked to at the tradeshow
